BioValue’s Physical Meeting

AXIA Innovation is participating in the 6 months general assembly of our project BIOVALUE.

The BioValue project aims to develop a dynamic and modular agent-based simulation tool that will analyse the link among biodiversity, the agri-food value chain, the environment, consumer’s preferences, and health. The idea is to introduce and spread the use of underutilized, genetically diverse crops and their final marketable products to the consumer´s plates adopting a demand-driven approach (fork to farm).

In the two-days meeting partners are gathering around in order to present the progress made within each of the work packages of the project and to discuss potential challenges and mitigation plans. During the first day the main topic of discussion are the research activities for enhancing biodiversity across the whole agri-food value chain via exploitation of genetically diverse crops and the development of the required pre-breeding material.

On the second day, focus will be given on the BIOVALUE tool as well as on promotion actions of the project. Furthermore, the BIOVALUE´s Live Value-chain Stakeholders’ Forum website is showcased which was developed by GFA for the direct engagement of stakeholders.

Within BIOVALUE, AXIA is leading the dissemination, communication and exploitation activities and presented the schedule set up for facilitation of such task.

We are excited to be part of such an innovative project and to contribute towards a more sustainable and diverse agricultural food sector.
