On September 18, 2025, AXIA Innovation participated in the second review meeting of the Horizon Europe project BIO-SUSHY, which is now entering its final phase. As the leader of Work Package 5 (WP5) on Impact Maximization, AXIA plays a central role in ensuring the project’s visibility, relevance, and long-term sustainability.

During the meeting, AXIA presented the progress made in:

• Communication and dissemination activities aimed at engaging stakeholders across the value chain
• Exploitation strategies to support the uptake of PFAS-free, bio-based coating technologies
• Clustering efforts to connect BIO-SUSHY with other EU-funded initiatives and amplify its impact

AXIA’s work ensures that the scientific and technical advancements of BIO-SUSHY—ranging from novel coating formulations to Safe and Sustainable by Design (SSbD) frameworks—are effectively communicated to industry, academia, policymakers, and the public.

The review panel, including the Project Officer and Expert Reviewer, acknowledged the importance of AXIA’s contributions in driving the project’s outreach and innovation potential. Their feedback highlighted the strategic value of WP5 in supporting the exploitation of results and fostering collaboration beyond the consortium.

As BIO-SUSHY enters its final phase, AXIA Innovation remains committed to maximizing the project’s impact and supporting the transition to sustainable, PFAS-free coating solutions.
