Position Summary:
We are a small-medium consulting company based in Munich, Germany, looking to hire an engineer for the management and implementation of EU-funded research projects. Currently, our team is working on several research and innovation projects and seeking to further expand its workforce.
Responsibilities:
- To detect market risks for new products and services.
- To exploit innovative research results.
- To evaluate economic data.
- To work on technoeconomic and financial analyses.
- To conduct market analysis for different projects, identifying customers and top competitors.
- To examine process development problems with the use of decision-support models.
- To represent the company in meetings, as well as in trade fairs, exhibitions, conferences, meeting etc.
Requirements:
Candidates need to have obtained a Master’s in Engineering (MEng) or equivalent engineering Diploma, either in Chemical or in Industrial Engineering.
Having experience in EU-funded research & innovation project management is considered essential.
- Bachelor/Diploma in the fields of Chemical Engineering, Process/Industrial engineering, Mechanical engineering, or relevant fields.
- Graduate degree (MSc or MBA) is strongly favored.
- Having a PhD will be particularly appreciated, without being considered as necessary.
- Excellent knowledge in written and spoken English.
- Experience in preparing technical reports.
- Ability to travel frequently.
Skills needed for the position:
- Excellent understanding of industrial and process operations; especially, in the fields of biomass, renewables and residual flows (e.g., municipal wastes) valorization.
- Experience in the development of Decision Support Tools and the use of optimization environments (e.g. GAMS)
- Excellent understanding of new, cutting-edge technologies in the field of materials, energy, environment, and agro-food.
- Problem solving capabilities.
